Hepatitis C is one of the most important causes of chronic liver disease in the United States. Dr. Poordad will provide guidance on which at-risk populations should be tested, as well as properly interpreting the test results. A primary focus of the book will be on treatment, with detailed information presented on the management of complex antiviral regimens. Sections will present use of the new direct-acting antivirals, including detailed discussion of the pivotal clinical trial results of these agents and their incorporation into current treatment protocols.
